Privacy Policy

We collect account information such as email address, display name, password credentials in hashed form, profile information, listing content, uploaded photos, messages, favorites, saved searches, reports, moderation records, promotion records, and account preferences.

We may also collect security and operational information such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, session data, rate-limit records, and application logs when needed to protect and operate the service.

A seller may enter a street address to place a listing. The address is used transiently for geocoding and is not stored as a public listing field. Approximate location is the default. When approximate location is selected, the public listing uses an intentionally less precise location rather than exposing the submitted street address.

If a seller intentionally selects an exact public pin, that location may be visible to other users. Sellers should use approximate location when a home address does not need to be public and share pickup details privately only when they choose to do so.

Uploaded listing images are re-encoded by the service before use. This process is intended to remove embedded metadata, including GPS/EXIF location metadata, while producing the web image used by the listing.

Private in-app messages are visible to the participants and may be accessible to authorized administrators when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, support, legal compliance, or enforcement of service rules. Messages are not intended for public search indexing.

Optional Sponsored listing purchases are processed by Stripe. We send Stripe the information needed to create and reconcile a payment, such as the seller's email address, the CornerPatch promotion identifier, listing identifier, amount, and related transaction metadata. Payment-card details are entered directly into Stripe's checkout experience and are not stored by CornerPatch.

CornerPatch does not process payment for the underlying food, produce, livestock share, or other marketplace item. Buyer-seller transactions remain direct between the users.

Interactive maps may be provided through MapTiler and geographic data providers such as OpenStreetMap. When a browser loads or interacts with a map, those providers may receive network and device information ordinarily associated with serving web resources, subject to their own privacy practices.

We use information to provide accounts, listings, maps, search, messaging, notifications, paid promotional services, fraud/abuse controls, moderation, customer support, service analytics, security, and legal compliance. We do not need to sell user data to operate the marketplace.

We may use infrastructure, email, payment processing, mapping/geocoding, analytics, security, storage, and other service providers to operate the product. Those providers receive information only as needed for their role and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, secure accounts, resolve disputes, maintain payment/accounting records, prevent fraud, satisfy legal obligations, and preserve moderation/audit records. Deactivated or deleted accounts may be anonymized while limited records are retained where necessary for those purposes.

Email addresses and administrator-entered IP addresses may be retained in private ban and audit records, including after account deletion, to enforce restrictions and prevent repeated abuse.

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service, but no Internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and report suspected account compromise promptly.

The service is intended for adults. Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

Account settings provide controls for profile visibility and notification preferences. Requests about privacy, account data, deletion, or payment records can be submitted through the Contact page.
